The scraper conveyor is a continuous conveying equipment for conveying dust, small particles and small pieces of bulk materials, which can be transported horizontally, obliquely and vertically. When conveying, the scraper chain is all buried in the material, so it is called buried scraper conveyor.

Working principle of buried scraper conveyor: bulk material has the characteristics of internal friction and side pressure. In horizontal transportation, the material is pushed by the scraper chain in the direction of motion, which makes the internal friction force between the materials sufficient to overcome the external friction resistance between the material and the groove wall, and the material moves forward with the scraper chain, so that the material can flow continuously. When the ratio of material layer height to slot width meets certain conditions, the material flow is stable. In vertical transportation, it mainly depends on the arching characteristics of materials. When the material in the closed machine groove is pushed by the scraper chain in the direction of movement and the resistance of the lower part feeding to prevent the upper material from sliding, it will generate lateral pressure, thus increasing the internal friction force of the material. When the internal friction force between the materials is greater than the external friction force and self weight between the material and the groove wall, the material will be transported upward with the scraper chain to form a continuous material flow.

The types of general-purpose buried scraper conveyor are as follows:

MS type (horizontal type) is horizontal or inclined (0 ° ≤ α ≤ 15 °). The conveying distance is not more than 80m.

MC type (vertical type) is inclined or vertical (30 ° ≤ α ≤ 90 °), and the conveying height is not more than 30m.

MZ (Z type) is vertical horizontal, the conveying height is not more than 20m, and the total length of upper horizontal section is not more than 30m.

Buried scraper conveyor has the following requirements for materials:

Bulk density: ρ = 0.2 ~ 2.5t/m3

Material temperature: the temperature of material suitable for general machine is less than 120 ℃; the temperature of hot material conveying material is 100-450 ℃.

Moisture content: the moisture content is related to the particle size and viscosity of the material. Generally, it should be kneaded by hand and can be loose after being released.

Conveying distance: the general horizontal conveying length is 80 ~ 120 meters; the vertical conveying height is 20 ~ 30 meters.

Generally, it is not suitable to use the scraper conveyor for materials with the following properties:

If there is no effective anti-corrosion measures, it is not suitable to use the materials with large suspension, too large block, great abrasion, too large compressibility, big viscosity, strong fluidity, and fragile materials that do not want to be broken in the transportation process.
